About Us

Our History

Vernon Edda's roots can be traced back to the late 1800's.  As settlers moved into the Vernon Township area, they sought protection from the ravages of fire.  They discovered that working together was necessary for survival.  From there, the concept of spreading the losses among many grew, and The Vernon Edda Mutual Fire Insurance Company was created in 1874Since that time many changes have occurred, but our commitment to our customers has remained steady.  We strive to provide excellent service to our policyholders by providing adequate coverage, competitive rates, and strong investments for a sound financial base.
